Frequently Asked Questions

Below are frequently asked questions with regards to the options and support provided by Teriyaki Experience when looking to franchise. If you do not find the answers you are looking for, please feel free to contact us.

Do I need restaurant experience?
While restaurant experience would be helpful, Teriyaki Experience seeks franchisees who have the drive for success and the willingness to learn and follow our operational systems and manuals.

How much does it cost to open a Teriyaki Experience?
The projected development cost is between $350,000 – $450,000, depending on square footage and other variables.

Why is there a wide range of development costs?
The range of development costs is due primarily to the varying site conditions and square footage (can range from a 500 square foot space to a 1,800 square foot space full size location; optimum square footage is 1200 – 1600). Many locations available have previously been used as restaurant sites and have the necessary infrastructure in place such as plumbing, electrical service, drop ceilings, etc. This existing infrastructure reduces development costs.

How do I find a location?
Our site criteria is specific to the ingredients that make up a successful location. If you have a site that you think might work, we will review it to see whether it matches our requirements. Our team has over 30 years of leasing and real estate experience and have extremely knowledgeable contacts in the industry and are able to acquire prime sites prior to construction and public release.

What are the fees involved?
The initial franchise fee is $30,000. Ongoing fees are: 6% royalty fee and 4% advertising fund.

What does the franchise fee include?
Use of the Teriyaki Experience trademark name and business model, store design, operational systems and methods, top supplier pricing, and ongoing support and training.

What type of training do I get?
